Delta Street 2010

Public Art Agency Celfwaith advertised a project to work with the neighbourhood regeneration team of Cardiff City Council to provide artwork as part of improvements to the Canton area of Cardiff. Simon Fenoulhet, working in collaboration with Andrew Rowe was appointed to the design team and worked closely with them to on the layout of a public square and the design of a new seating feature.

The seat is 3 metres across and is cantilevered out on two sides from a central base. Andrew and Simon worked together on the design, which was fabricated by Andrew in his Carmarthenshire workshop. The seat incorporates led down-lighters underneath both arcs of the seat, which give the seat a distinctive blue glow as night falls.
